Create a Chat Flow

Bring your AI Assistants, Live Chats, and Channels together in one system

Use a Chat Flow to unite AI Chatbots, Live Chats, and Channels into one seamless interface. Once you set up a Chat Flow, you can easily modify all of its components - no need to use many apps!

SUMMARY

Creating a Chat Flow takes a few clicks. The steps in creating a Chat Flow will only vary depending on the kind of Channel and Live Chat you want to use. In general, the steps are:

  1. Set up your Chat Flow: Give your Chat Flow a name. This is for internal purposes, so you can find your Chat Flow easily when you have many of them in Captivate Chat.

  2. Choose your AI Chatbot: In Step 1: Select AI Chatbot, you can choose an existing AI Chatbot or make one from scratch.

  3. Choose your Channel: In Step 2: Select Channel, you will choose a Channel where you want your AI Chatbot to appear. This will have different steps depending on the Channel chosen and have separate instructions how to set up your Chat Flow's public name and relevant connections.

  4. Choose your Live Chat service: In Step 3: Select Live Chat Vendor, you will choose what Live Chat service your AI Chatbot will connect to if a customer asks for an agent from your team.

  5. Set up your Live Chat service: Connect Captivate Chat to the Live Chat service you have chosen in Step 3. It will have different instructions per service, but this usually involves installing a service-exclusive Captivate Chat app.
